Truth About Hadith and Qur'an

For centuries, Muslims have been told that following Islam requires both the Qur'an and hadith.

But is this truly what God commands?

The Qur'an itself provides a clear answer: it is fully detailed, complete, and sufficient for guidance.

🔹 The Qur'an is Fully Detailed & Needs No Additions

"Shall I seek a judge other than Allah while it is He who has sent down to you the Book explained in detail?"

Chapter 6 Verse 114

"And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims."

🔹 The Qur'an Warns Against Following Hadith & Sectarianism

"These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what hadith after Allah and His verses will they believe?"

Chapter 45 Verse 6

"Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects—you, [O Muhammad], are not associated with them in anything."

Chapter 6 Verse 159

The Qur'an does not mention any requirement to follow hadith.
Hadith collections were compiled 200+ years after the Prophet’s death, often filled with contradictions.
Elevating hadith to the same status as the Qur'an contradicts God's command to follow His revelation alone.

The issue of adding human traditions to divine revelation is not new.

The Bible also warns against this:

Deuteronomy 4 Verse 2

"Their teachings are merely human rules. You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions."

Mark 7 Verses 7-8

Islam is simple, God’s word in the Qur'an is enough.

Rejecting sectarian distortions and fabricated traditions allows Muslims to return to the pure faith that unites all believers under God's truth.
